Green Hawaii

Big props to my Broski for taking these pics :)

Breakdown:
dress- 1940s vintage, Time Warp Boutique
heels- Gianni Bini, thrifted
clutch- street vendor in Costa Rica
earrings- vintage, thrifted
rings- vintage, thrifted/gifted

Don't you love when you buy a dress and let it sit in your closet for a year but finally have the perfect occasion to wear it? The Prêt à Porter Design showcase, hosted by Haute Off the Rack and A Pinch of Lovely, at the rooftop pool on the Mississippi was just the ticket for this dress!

My love for vintage always goes haywire the second I walk into Time Warp. This 1940s beauty had to go home with me as soon as I spotted it! The color, the print, the feel... very Pearl Harbor nurse-on-leave. It also makes me feel like an extra in South Pacific, which makes me sing... "I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair, I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair..." I paired these sandals with the look because, though modern, they have a vintage feel. I think the ankle strap really does the trick. To put a little kitsch I added the coconut clutch because coconut clutch.

As a bonus for your visual pleasure, I present to you, "What happens when Brother takes outfit photos."
