A few months ago, I expressed my desire to look more like a professional at my job, which meant that I was on the hunt for "professional" looking clothes. After many exhausting shopping trips and trying on about 10 too many silky blouses that would only be paired with slacks *shiver*, I decided that my goal look was less law firm professional and more cool-vibe boutique professional.
That's where this blouse comes in. It is 100% rayon but feels better than silk. It is light and soft and looks just as beautiful with jeans as it does with a nice pencil skirt! On this road to discovering my personal style in the young professional world [again... *shiver*], I am finally figuring out how I want to be perceived at my job. If I wore this to work, I think the vibe I would give off is put-together, approachable, but still authoritative. Gotta let those students know who's boss.
You probably won't catch me wearing a suit to work any time soon... unless it's vintage. And then I will need an assistant to count the stares I get while strolling down the hallway.
