Khakis: Good or Bad?

Breakdown: tee + chinos- Gap, flats- Nine West, belt- J. Crew Outlet

Fact: My day job as a teacher should mean that khakis are a staple in my wardrobe.

Fact #2: I wore khakis every school day for 6 years... so, naturally, khakis are the enemy.

Fact #3: I push these khakis into the back of my closet to avoid looking like a "typical" teacher. See also: polos. However, as soon as I saw this pin a few months ago, I knew I had to let these babies see the light of day! Sure, I had a denim jacket on this morning, but the 85 degree afternoon had it resting on my chair by 10 a.m.

And to that I say... Welcome back, khaki pants.

  1. Khakis: Good. Especially on you. Especially with yo' hair and yo' flats. (GOOD. Need to copy you now kthanxbye.)

  2. They definitely look great on you! The colour really suits you. We sometimes have this love-hate relationship with a piece of clothing, so it's absolutely fine to be having these ambivalent thoughts :)
