While You Were Out: Sewing with Savannah

While I am singing on the top of a mountain, hanging with the monkeys, and perchin' with cool peeps, I have some exciting guest bloggers to tickle your fancy until I get back! Here is Savannah, of the chicken coop!

I may look familiar to you because I have been in my Aunt Sarah's blog posts before.  My name is Savannah and I am 12 years old.  I am home schooled and I am going into 7th grade.  I am on swim team and I sew, which is what I'm here to talk about today!  You might have seen my horse Shyann before in other blog posts.  I also have 20 chickens and a cat named Lacey Leigh Shnubloblukin, which I made up when I was 7... ya I know I'm cool.

This dress was my Easter dress, and it was surprisingly easy to make.  The fabric was from Hancock's and the color is one of my favorites. The print reminds me of my trip to Hawaii a few years ago!  The pattern number is McCall's M6023.

This top was my 2nd sewing project (the first was matching baby doll clothes).  We found the fabric at Wal*Mart.  It was as fun to make as the first swim of the summer!

Editor's Note: Savannah now knows the feeling every style blogger
gets when they don't know what to do anymore.

This is my favorite skirt, although the pattern is impeccably impossible! It only left about 1 inch to  gather around the whole skirt, and if you have ever made a gathered skirt, you know 1 in. is not enough!  See my dilemma?  We got the fabric at Hancock's.  The pattern # is McCall's M5920.

Thanks for reading, hope you guys enjoyed it!

Thanks, Savannah! I can't wait to see your next project!
