Berry Bad Blajectives

Breakdown: dress- Dillards, tights- TJ Maxx, boots- who knows, cowl- YarnPlusYarn, belt & rings- thrifted

For the last week, we've been working on adjectives in the super awesome 6th grade. To prove the point of adjectives being important and the use of synonyms, we made up a new word that I am hoping will catch on: bladjectives. Like "blahhhh" plus "adjectives". AKA yucky, uninteresting adjectives. Big, small, little, smelly, etc. So tell me, what adjectives, not bladjectives, would you use to describe this outfit?

Breakdown: sweater- F21, jeans- Levi's (circa 2007), heels- TJ Maxx, belt- Dillards, rings- thrifted or gifted

I like Mentos and am always cold, so it would be fitting that I had a mint sweater, right?

PS: Since my blog posts have become scarce, follow my on Instagram @sarahjulianne for photos when I don't have time for a full-on post!

Just Breezy

Breakdown: dress- Time Warp, belt- Gap, heels- Antonio Melani, rings- gifted/thrifted

Oh how I have missed this! The taking of the photos, the crazy wind, the blinding sun. Last Tuesday was my first day of student teaching. The whole leaving-my-house-at-6am is not cool. But I love the kids and am getting used to the schedule. I probably won't get accustomed to showering at night, though. I feel completely disgusting by the last class of the day and rush home to wash my face! Do you know that feeling?

And, now, for your viewing pleasure, an outtake. You can see my ashy roots and how white my skin is right now. But the thing that knocks all of that out is that I look like I'm flying.

Red Hat Society

Breakdown: sweater- Gap, jeans- TJ Maxx, shoes- Converse Lo's

Yeah yeah yeah... so maybe I look like I should be a member of the Red Hat Society, but I think I look more like Barney eating a tomato. Or a tomato eating Barney. Anyway, I wore this to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D with my friend, Kayla! They gave us the kid 3D glasses so we looked more ridiculous than usual. But it was so cool to see it in theaters! I hope they bring back more oldies. *crosses fingers*

A Loss of Freedom & Capes

Breakdown: shirt- thrifted, cape- Gap (old), jeans- Lucky, boots- Clarks

Today marks one of my last days of freedom until May. I start student teaching on Tuesday and lose my free days :( All day, every day with my kids plus countless hours of lesson planning and other assignments. I am hesitant about starting but I know that it is just one day closer to being finished! I think that the hardest part of the coming semester will be figuring out what to wear every day. I can't wear jeans or sleeveless. Being comfortable, cute, but not too cute is going to be difficult on days when I am exhausted. Oh, & because I will have crazy days, blogging may take a back burner. Sad, but that will make me really excited when I do have time!

PS: I like capes. They make me feel like Belle!

Lacking Inspiration

Breakdown: tee- Gap (old old old), skirt- thrifted vintage, necklace- thrifted, shoes- Liz Claiborne via Marshalls

Like Dani and Bekah, I have been feeling a little less inspired with my closet than usual. I go through these spurts every once in a while where I have zero outfit ideas. Or, I have ideas but nowhere to go! Ah, the trials of a style blogger...

On that note, where do you go for style inspiration (besides Pinterest)? Also, are there any blogs out there that I just have to follow because they are just the jam? Let me know!

January 5, 2012

Breakdown: sweater & belt- Gap, dress (worn as skirt)- Urban Outfitters, sandals- TJ Maxx, rings & bracelets- thrifted/gifted

This 70 degree weather constituted bare legs and an airy skirt/dress. Now that I'm looking at the pictures, I wish I had realized how white my legs are! Yikes! If you were blinded, I apologize, haha!

Out of Place

Breakdown: tee- Buckle, coat- Hollister (circa 2005), jeans- Levi's, boots- Buffalo Exchange, shades- Michael Kors via TJ Maxx

Today's outfit is absolutely not a reflection of what I did today. Walking around Bass Pro among so much camo, I felt really out of place. I'm not saying that is unusual, but I still felt out of place. Tell me, do you ever feel out of place with the way you dress vs. where you go/live?
