In looking at these pictures, I think I liked this outfit better in the mirror. Maybe it was the time of day (8am) or just my eyes, but I don't thing these pictures show this outfit very well. That, my friends, is so frustrating! 

Despite what I think these photos show, I love this outfit! I found the skirt a few weeks ago at Goodwill and thought it was just 90s enough. Plus, it is borderline pilgrim, somewhat Holly Hobbie, and it might make me feel like Taylor Swift (minus the whiney songs about unrequited love).

This dress is somewhat difficult to wear. It's a weird length, so it has to be pulled up and belted. I have some other ideas of how to wear it, but that involves layering. And since the thermostat reads upper 90s, the less clothes, the better! I still love the stripes and the bold print! I feel like a peppermint, a candy striper, and a carousel worker from the 1910s all at once. Carousel horses are about the only horses my skiddish self can handle. 

The good thing is this dress is perfect for my Latin dance class!

Let me catch you up on my week so far... Monday I was all ready to take outfit pictures, but when my temporary photog and I got outside, the camera wouldn't turn on. Would. Not. Turn. On. I tried changing the battery, searching the manual, everything. It may be dead. What does this mean for outfit photos? Good ole stand-by point & shoot. Problem... point & shoot is consistently fuzzy even with just looking at the screen. 

I know what you're thinking. But Sarah, what did you do? I'll tell you. I went to Best Buy and used my warranty to get a brand new camera! A little over a year with the old camera and it goes kaput. Awesome. Whatever, I got a new camera out of it! 

The most frustrating thing is that I wore some really cute outfits this week. But do I get to show you? No. I'm just sorry that you didn't get to see my awesome outfits that got serious stares on campus.

Last Monday I had a free day and was already close to the Urban Outfitters in Baton Rouge, so I popped in just to see what they had. I usually just look and never buy anything, but they had some sweet sales going on that I couldn't resist. I found this dress on the sale racks for $29.99 and was willing to pay that much for it. However, when I got to the register it rang up at $9.99!!! You can imagine my excitement! Yes, the left strap was torn, but that was a minor easy fix. E-Z P-Z! Anyway, it is so light and airy. It feels like I'm wearing a huge handkerchief. And the bodice has hooks and eyes all the way down so it has a vintage/prairie feel.

I hope you all have a fantastic week! I'm back in school so I should be getting busier soon. Yay for homework and a regular, mundane schedule.
