cardigan- PacSun
sweater & scarf- Gap
skirt- homemade
tights & boots- too long ago to remember

If you know me in real life, you know that I am a pretty awkward and borderline anti-social person. It's not that I don't enjoy talking to people (sometimes...), but I have yet to master the art of group conversation. How do people learn that skill? Is it something you're just born with, or is there some class I missed out on in 3rd grade where you learned how to talk to more than one person at a time? How do you know when to come in on a conversation? Not too early so it doesn't seem like you're interrupting, but not too late to where your comment is still relevant. So stressful!

To most people, I am "the quiet one" or "Silent Sarah" or something else like that. Until I was about 12, I was very, extremely, hugely in my shell. I have always been an observer. A notice-r, if you will. I would rather watch and listen than actually participate. Sometimes I wonder if that will make me miss out on the things I watch and don't participate in. But I do things at my own pace and no one can make me do them any faster. People have tried and failed, which makes me laugh a little, because they won't learn that I can't be pushed. I won't budge.

PS: I'm sorry about the balcony pictures, but it was just too cold to walk downstairs, past 2 buildings, and near a field. I prefer to feel my fingers!

  1. I love the color of your cardigan. Wow that's really cool that you made the skirt, it is really pretty :)Great outfit. I'm also pretty awkward/quiet in real life :(

  2. I like that last picture. You're so pretty!

And I'm glad I'm not the only one wearing tights in cold weather...hahaha! You look fab, girl :)

  3. I've always been the same way. However, there is an article I read recently about how important introverts are to the balance of the world. So don't worry, it's ok to be an observer. You look great in this mustard cardigan as well, which is always a plus. ;-)

  4. I am so the same! I refuse to budge into someones conversation in fear they would be like "What are you doing? Stop. Leave." Then I would make it even more awkward. However, I also have an opinionated side which I don't mind sharing. I'm so complicated. haha. :D I love the outfit by the way! :)
