I look like a box of crayons

Let's face it, I look like a box of crayons. I wore this dress to class today and got some weird looks, but they were mostly from the 5th grade classes walking by on the way to the cafeteria.

dress- Civvies on Broughton in Savannah, GA
boots- Shoe Station (can't remember the brand)
rings- Mommed and gifted

My school weeks are abnormal now since I am in my teaching methods. What that means is... I don't have class on campus because we meet at a combined elementary-junior high so we can be closer to our students. So basically, I see the same people every single day. All day. All day. In other words, I can't wear the same thing 2 days in a row like I do sometimes. What? You don't do that? Liar.

My hair has been in a really awkward state for about 3 weeks now and I am already tired of it! It's at that stage where it either needs to be cut short again, or I have to wait for it to grow out. And, due to my first-time-in-8-years hi-lites in October, I now have awkward bangs from breakage. I haven't had bangs since 10th grade and I don't want them! They make everything more difficult!

This is an up close shot of my ring! I bought it a few years ago at a shop in downtown Denham Springs (my town) and a woman at church made it! Her jewelry is always creative and fantastic! I even got one exactly like this with a red stone for my friend Heidi. I love the twisty wires with the dark grey stone!

  1. When I was in college I had this weird thing that I didn't want to go to school in PJs like everyone else so I actually dressed up every day. I didn't even own a pair of jeans! Funny that I dress more casual now than when I went to school.

So go 'head girl for taking fashion risks and have fun doing it!

  2. I love this dress! It is so original...and retro! Awesomeness!

  3. i think it's awesome, the more unusual the better!

  4. My hair is in the awkward stage right now, too! I hate, hate, hate it!

I want long hair, but it looks so bad I think "need haircut!!"

Oh well. I just have to wait it out. I can't wait until I don't have bangs anymore... they're driving me maaaaaaaaad.
